Only to those people whom we know we can never lose are we truly unkind. Arthur Schnitzler
"The King is enthralled by your beauty;"
Psalm 45:11a
Enthralled = captivated, smitten, fascinated
The throngs of people squashed up in a tiny church, made me reminisce about the number of graduates we had in our year, that they had to have our ceremony in a much larger church. And yet it was still completely filled. Comparatively, ours was definitely grander.
It was so good to catch up with so many of the 2003 alumni as well as other youths that I have lost contact with. I had such an enjoyable time. It was also surprising to meet people who apparently know you.. but you have got absolutely no idea who they are.
It is, at these gatherings that you make promises to keep in touch, exchange mobile numbers, email addresses, msn id. But one can only wonder, who would actually keep in touch with you. The normal group of friends that I hang out with, we still keep in close contact… but it is the others that we only see in gatherings like these, that we wonder….
Towards the end, some alumni from RBS2005 went on stage to take a group picture, screaming ‘05. The 2003s thought that we should outshine them.. so we took to the stage as well… and it was impressive that even after so many years, we are still loyally coming to a ceremony that doesn’t really concern us. It really speaks to everyone how much the month spent studying God’s word up in Cameron Highlands, the good friends that we make, the tears and the joys, impacted our lives as people. I thank God each time I remember RBS.
